While we’ve all been suffering a long hot Summer, our government has been busy thinking up ways to make next tax season colossally fun! Energy credits, lots more audits, student loan forgiveness, and much, much more! Details on most of this are yet to be released (they think big and worry about details later…), so I’ll let you know more when we know more. The Energy Credits (and audits) are a done deal, but don’t count on that Student Loan forgiveness just yet! Given it’s an election year, there are lots of politicians making lots of promises that may or may not actually come to pass after the election…
Meanwhile, if you filed an extension this year the clock is ticking. S-Corps and Partnerships on extension are due September 15th. Personal taxes on extension (including most LLCs) are due October 17th. Please don’t wait until the last minute!
On that note, our office will not be open from October 12-22. Penny’s forcing us to make-up a cruise that was cancelled last year due to COVID. Yeah, I know, bad timing. So again, please don’t wait until the last minute!
As always, feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or concerns. If you prefer to call, we are typically in the office on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
